Chandler is a city located in Maricopa County, in the Salt River Valley in the state of Arizona. As of the 2004 Census, Chandler's population was estimated at 220,705. In the 1990's Chandler doubled in size and is continuing to grow.

Chandler is 1213 feet above sea level and is approximately 20 miles from Phoenix. Chandler is known as being the "Oasis of the Silicon Desert".

Chandler weather resembles that of Phoenix. The hottest month of the year is typcially July with daily highs averaging 106 degrees F with lows at a comfortable 77 degrees F. The two significant seasons are summer and winter. Chandler winters remain dry, but daily tempertures average 67 degrees for the month of December. The lowest recorded temperature on record was 15 degrees F back in 1950.
